Getting Started with GeekHub
GeekHub is a free community platform built for Indian developers. You can discuss tech, find jobs, build your resume, use AI tools, and connect with other developers — no paywalls, no spam.
Creating Your Account
Sign up takes under a minute. Go to geekhub.in/auth/login and choose:
- Google — fastest, uses your existing Google account
- GitHub — recommended for developers, links your GitHub identity
After signing in, you'll be prompted to set a username. Pick something you're comfortable with publicly — it appears on all your posts, comments, and your profile URL (geekhub.in/profile/yourusername).
Setting Up Your Profile
Your profile is your presence on GeekHub. Fill it in so others know who you're talking to:
- Click your avatar in the top-right corner → Profile
- Add a bio — keep it to one or two lines about what you work on
- Set your location — city is enough, or leave it blank
- Add a website or GitHub/LinkedIn link
Your reputation score starts at 0 and goes up as you contribute. Learn how reputation works.
Your First Post
Head to the home feed and click New Post, or go to geekhub.in/post/new.
Every post needs:
- A title — clear and specific beats clever
- A category — pick the one that fits best
- A body — markdown is supported
You can save a draft and come back to it. Drafts are private — only you can see them until you publish.
See the full Writing Posts guide for formatting tips and community expectations.
