1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using GeekHub (“the Service”, “the Platform”, “geekhub.in”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service. These Terms apply to all visitors, registered users, and anyone who accesses or uses the Service in any way.

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We will notify registered users of material changes via email or in-app notification.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use GeekHub. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are at least 13 years old. If you are between the ages of 13 and 18, you represent that you have your parent's or guardian's permission to use the Service and that they have read and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

The Service is operated from India. Users outside India are responsible for compliance with their local laws. Access to certain features may be restricted based on your location.

3. Account Registration

To access most features of GeekHub, you must create an account. When creating an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete registration information;
• Maintain and promptly update your account information to keep it accurate;
• Keep your password secure and confidential;
• Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account, whether authorized by you or not;
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

You may not create an account on behalf of another person without their explicit consent, create multiple accounts for the purpose of evading bans or restrictions, or use automated means to create accounts. We reserve the right to refuse registration or cancel accounts at our discretion.

4. User Content

4.1 Ownership

You retain ownership of all content you post, upload, or otherwise make available on GeekHub (“User Content”), including posts, comments, images, code snippets, and profile information. GeekHub does not claim ownership of your content.

4.2 License to GeekHub

By submitting User Content to GeekHub, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, sublicensable license to use, display, reproduce, distribute, and modify your content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service. This license includes the right to display your content to other users, format it for different devices, and create backups.

4.3 Your Representations

By posting User Content, you represent and warrant that you have the necessary rights to grant the above license, the content does not infringe any third-party intellectual property or privacy rights, and the content complies with these Terms and all applicable laws.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use GeekHub only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with our Code of Conduct. You are solely responsible for all content you post and actions you take on the platform.

6. Prohibited Activities

You must not engage in any of the following activities on GeekHub:

• Spam: Posting repetitive, unsolicited, or irrelevant content, including bulk messaging, link-dropping, or promotional content without community relevance.
• Harassment: Bullying, threatening, intimidating, or repeatedly targeting another user in a way that causes distress.
• Illegal Content: Posting content that violates Indian law, including but not limited to the IT Act 2000, the Indian Penal Code, copyright law, or content that incites violence or discrimination.
• Scraping: Using automated tools, bots, or scripts to scrape, crawl, or collect data from the platform without our written permission.
• Impersonation: Pretending to be another person, organization, or GeekHub staff.
• Account Abuse: Creating multiple accounts, selling/transferring accounts, or using others' accounts.
• Security Attacks: Attempting to gain unauthorized access to the platform, other user accounts, or our infrastructure. Distributing malware, viruses, or malicious code.
• Hate Speech: Content that promotes hatred, discrimination, or violence based on race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, caste, nationality, disability, or other protected characteristics.
• Misinformation: Deliberately spreading false information likely to cause harm.

7. Intellectual Property

The GeekHub name, logo, website design, and original features and functionality are the exclusive property of GeekHub and are protected by Indian and international intellectual property laws. You may not use our trademarks, logos, or trade dress without our prior written consent. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use GeekHub's intellectual property except as expressly set forth herein. If you believe content on GeekHub infringes your intellectual property rights, please contact us.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any content on the platform.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, GEEKHUB SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, ANY CONTENT ON THE SERVICE, CONDUCT OF ANY THIRD PARTY ON THE SERVICE, OR ANY OTHER MATTER RELATING TO THE SERVICE. IN NO EVENT SHALL GEEKHUB'S AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU EXCEED INR 1,000 (ONE THOUSAND INDIAN RUPEES).

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless GeekHub, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to your violation of these Terms, your use of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of any rights of another person or entity.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including but not limited to violation of these Terms, conduct we determine to be harmful to other users or the platform, or inactivity. You may delete your account at any time through account settings or by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Service immediately ceases. Sections 4.2, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 12 shall survive termination.

12. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. You irrevocably submit to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice through the Service or via email at least 7 days before the changes take effect (or immediately if required by law). Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service.
